CF Format Error code 0

I just received a used CF reader for my Ipaq and put a new CF card into it and
when prompted said "yes" to format the CF card. I get the error message:

"An error occurred while formatting the Storage Card folder (error code 0)"

does anyone know what this means?

I got this error on my 340MB microdrive. I'm sorry to say that what it meant to me is that the MD is dead. After trying NUMEROUS times to revive, I simply gave up.

One thing that MAY work is to format the card in your PC. I was able to format, but when I tried to write files to it (after formatting in my PC), I continued to have problems.

I noticed that there is a recent post about a 1G microdrive for $199.....just in case.
