I have decided to try another ap and want to uninstall Battery Pack 2002. Since BP Battery Bar and Program Bar are running on the Today screen, it will not allow an uninstall. BP2002 is not an option on the task switcher for a complete close. How can I stop the program from running so that I can uninstall?

Thanks for the help and Happy New Year

Go to Settings | Today and the Items tab, and then uncheck the Battery Bar box. Then do a soft-reset of your device. You should then be able to uninstall Battery Bar.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, battery bar and program bar are not options to uncheck under Settings/Today/Items. They are not even listed. It only shows the default options of date, owner info, tasks, calendar and inbox. Any other suggestions?

Odd. On my iPaq with PPC 2002, I see all those items plus the Battery Bar and other items, too, and can check or un-check them as I please. I have Battery Bar currently unchecked, for example, since I'm using another program too. Anyone else have any ideas?

Don't have those programs, but here is a guess. If they are not shown on the today items check screen, but are running at install, then I would expect they are launched from the Startup folder under windows. Check there for the programs or shortcuts.

Also, typically if there is something you cannot delete because the OS is using it, you can rename the file (app.dll to app.old for example), soft reset the device, and then uninstall the app or delete the renamed file.

Some nice programmers have included an un-install feature in their options that you click prior to uninstalling the software. It essentially unloads their app so you can remove it. Would be nice if more did that.

Thanks for the responses. It all had to do with order of operations initially of which I screwed up. I reinstalled BP2002 and the options options were correctly in the Today/Items tab. So I unchecked, soft-booted and the program uninstalled properly.
