Project Gutenberg

I am downloading texts from Project Gutenberg for MS Reader. I convert the .txt in Word to .lit files and sync to my h3955. My problem is that there are hard returns in the original text files and they make weird line lengths when put into the PPC. Has anyone dealt with this? Suggestions other than Find/Replace (Don't want one big paragraph)?
