Personally I had no plans to buy the GSM module when I made my purchase of the Loox. It was the cheaper price compared to rival products that convinced me to buy.

Several months on though I do wonder how fujitsu siemens can clain the Loox is 'the modular PDA' when the only module that is available is the second battery and the only other planned module now cancelled.

Does anyone have any idea if any third parties plan to produce any Loox modules?

Also, and only time will tell, if fujitsu siemens bring out a subsequent PDA, will it use the same form factor allowing modules to be backwards compatible?

I did buy my Loox for the GPRS module option to come and other eventual extensions such as GPS etc...

I thought the news coming out from FSC that the GPRS module would not be released was pretty much shocking as most of the ad was based on this.

On my side I do not wonder wether the modules to come or not will be compatible with future FSC PDAs : I am done with FSC. :x

NekoBut this isn't a Loox-specific module. It's TomTom's standard GPS package with a Loox-specific cable.
