I'm waffling between selling my 3975 and getting a 5455, or just getting an 802.11b card and a fat sled for my 3975. (I need my microdrive in, so no CF 802.11b).

Are my existing CF+ sled and battery packs compatible with the 5455? What about the cradle? I bought a spare there.

I have read various posts where people are having trouble with the 38xx/39xx cradles. The only 38xx/39xx cradle I actually use for syncing is the one at work and it syncs fine. The first time I connected it, I had a message indicating that a driver was missing. I uninstalled ActiveSync 3.5 and loaded ActiveSync 3.6 from pocketpc.com website and didn't have a problem after that. I use ActiveSync 3.6 with Windows 2000 at work and XP Home at home. I use the 5455 cradle at home.

I have a Compaq foldable keyboard which also works. FYI, I downloaded the latest driver from the HP/Compaq site, I did not use the 38xx CD it came with. I tried my micro keyboard just wanted to see if it worked and it did (also with the driver from the HP/C site). I don't use it anymore since I bought Typango, but it did work.

Sorry, I don't know how to edit my last post, but I also use a SS2 leather that has a CF slot. It works great with the 5455. Case fits and slot works.

My Siedio case is made slightly lower along the top and cuts off the very top of the screen on the 5455. Not enough that it can't be used, but kind of annoying. I don't have that problem with the SS2. This doesn't matter right now because I use the SS2, but if I ever get a 512 SD then I would like a case like it for my 5455. It's so soft.
