Does anyone know of a way to change the screen view from being long to being wide in the internet explorer?

Here are the two programs that will allow you to change the orientation of your screen from portrait to landscape.

Just installed the Jimmysoftware and it killed my 3970. Can't get past the iPAQ Pocket PC red and white window..

Not very happy....

Must be bad Karma...

I bought and installed JS Landscape this week on my 3970. Works fine. Makes PIE a tolerable browser for now.

I highly recommend nyditot. I strated with JS landscape and had too many conflicts (granted this was a while ago with an older version), but I've had great success with Nyditot virtual display.

I, too, recommend NYDITOT over the JimmySoft solution, at least for a 3970.

As for landscape mode helping Pocket IE, it isn't really all that useful. The screen is simply too small for pages that aren't designed with handhelds in mind. :(

You might also try Thunderhawk (http://www.bitstream.com/wireless/client_index.html), which is a service that tries to reformat pages for display on small devices and does a pretty good job. Not really cheap, though.
