My config:
Dlink adsl routeur (ip 192.168.0.1)
accec point dlink 9000ap + (wireless) (ip192.168.0.50)
(gateway 192.168.0.1)
pc card wirless (ip 192.168.0.3 to 5)
gateway 192.168.0.1)

no wep encryption
all works internet and link computeur

the question :
toshiba e740 wifi
infrastructure
ip 192.168.0.6
gateway 192.168.0.1
dns 194.117.200.10 (dns proxy)

wins 192.168.0.3 (host of my pocket)

scan ok the toshi see the access point and connect to
but no ping to the gateway no ping to acces point no intenrnet
ping ok to host
of course all have the same sub mask 255.255.255.0

where i do a false

I have the same D-Link setup with my Socket WiFi CF card. Switching to "short preamble" solved a lot of problems.

Also, make sure you have the Gateway and DNS set corrently for your DWL900AP+ (on the "LAN" page). This is not set correctly by default.

maybe a stupid question but when you ping are using ip address or dns name, i'm wondering if it might be a dns issue.

Here are some random ideas. Absolutely no guarantees any of these will work, but hey, it's a quiet Christmas afternoon...

0. See if there are firmware upgrades for your router and/or access point, and make sure you upgrade to the latest EUU on the e740 if possible.
1. Set your laptop to the IP the e740 is using. Make sure the e740 is off when you do this :) (Similarly, move the e740 to a different IP.)
2. Don't set the default gateway on the e740 and see if you can ping it then. The default gateway is only used to reach outside addresses; even without the gateway set, you should be able to reach the router. Of course, if it's then reachable, you have a real problem, since you need the default gateway set to leave the 192.168.0 subnet.
3. Remove the default gateway from the access point and see if that makes any difference. Your access point, since it's a bridge and not a router, should not need the default gateway. Your workstations (and Pocket PC) use the access point to bridge onto the wired subnet and find the default gateway themselves.

Are you using DHCP or static IP addresses, btw?

You shouldn't have to do any of the above, but tweaking settings might reveal a clue.

Sometimes routers block icmp traffic (ping) by default. Can you ping the router from your PC?

YES FROM PC I'm able to ping every tynk and e740 just idon't ping routeur adsl from e740

Have you downloaded the latest firmware for your AP? Version 2.2 is available from the D-Link site.

Make sure the LAN settings for your AP is:

IP Address: 192.168.0.50
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS Server: 192.168.0.1

The default settings have no gateway or DNS and I originally had the same problems from my PPC but not PC.

my LAN settings for my AP is:

DNS Server: 194.117.200.15 (it is the dns of my proxy : club-internet)
