http://www.infusionthreads.com/

Infusion Threads makes a variety of interesting cases. Their "Wrist Sport" models are particularly interesting: you can put devices like the T-Mobile PPC Phone Edition on your wrist, which may be useful if you need to put it somewhere while doing activities like jogging. I'm not sure how comfortable it would be, but it's certainly more convenient than having it in your pocket in certain situations.

There's another wrist model that's a full wraparound case, plus they also have other non-wrist solutions, including the "Slip Sport" and the "Flip Sport".

And who said PPC couldn't match the fossil watch?

boy does that look darn goofy. :o

I guess someone somewhere needs it though eh?

I had to laugh at their "raincoat" but, the slip case is a pretty sweet idea (I think.). I'm not much of a leather case kind of guy, so I'm happy to see them coming up with some alternatives. That wrist case is huge when fully assembled. How about a sport band like the Sony walkmans have to wrap it around your bicep while out jogging etc?

You should email them. It's possible that the wrist band could be adjusted or replaced with a larger one...

Not sure how it'd feel to have a Pocket PC strapped there while running, but that could serve as an MP3 player if you're using solid-state memory :)

Yeah. Or just in the gym in general. Keep it out of the way and off the waist band. In spite of what my fellow PPC Thoughts members might think, dressing like Batman in the gym is not cool. :P

If you can't afford or have the guts to get the work GEEK tattooed to your forhead, just put a PDA on your wrist.

Geek or not, with the PPC in Landscape mode, this could prove to be quite useful.

After having one of the Fossils on my wrist, I'm not sure that this is much less bulky! Seriously, though, if I were doing a lot of data lookup while needing some dexterity, I'd consider using one of these.

There! I've said it! Let the flaming begin...!

As a specialty device, I can actually see how this could be useful. Granted, it's not something that I'd wear while walking outdoors everyday and I certainly couldn't see myself wearing this while jogging... but there have been times where I needed to type on my PC and look up info on my PPC at the same time... if someone does this often, this could help...

Absolutely. I could imagine cases like this working in the warehousing industry... if Symbol were to manufacture a Pocket PC/barcode scanner light enough to wrap to your wrist, it could be a very successful product IMHO.

Soon as you get this monster and strap it on, you'd just be DYING to get someone to ask you the time just so's you can pull it out. (And you'd keep the stylus strapped on your right wrist with that thing that usually holds a knife...)

Pardon, do you have the time?

Whoosh.. Hold on a sec.. Tap-tap-tap...

Jeez, can you imagine Dale Coffing with PPCs on each wrist in addition to the bunch on his belt?

Another funny thought... could you imaging going to the bathroom with this thing on? Maybe handy for certain *ahem* activities there?

If that wrist band thing isnt the most geekiest thing you can do with your PDA, I dont know what is.

I hoenstly would love to see the sales figures of how this sells. Maybe they'll get 2-3 people who will actually buy this in the next year.
Or maybe this was to serve as a joke? Im not sure who will actually buy this product, and im pretty sure it is a waste of rhte R&D for this device orientation.
Just my 0.02.

I have to agree with Janek. Although I don't think any self-respecting person would buy this thing 8O ;), it's great for certain industrial use, like in a warehousing scenario, where workers might have to input/output data to the devices while dealing with the inventory. This case would free the hands to do inventory tasks while keeping the PPC available at all times for input/output. This setup would be great on a wireless LAN. :)

Never! Would you tell Superman to just "get over" his trademark cape? Would your advice to Batman be to "get over" his powerful toolbelt? Would you admonish EdBot to "get over" his mobile pants?

I think not. My eVest IS me!

Well on the bright side if you wear this thing along with the e-vest the e-vest will cover up the wrist thing. So one geek product cancels out the other. However I'm still waiting for someone to come out with a ankle holster for a PDA. I mean I do not believe ANYTHING could equal the geek factor of such an item.

Hmmm with the possible exception of this:

You wear 2 of these things like Rambo along with 2 wrist sports so you can double your productivity along with whatever utility belt Dale is wearing here:

Can anyone say Uber geek?
