I currently use an IPAQ 3850 and recently purchased a t68i bluetooth enabled phone. I would like to add bluetooth functionality to my IPAQ. Does anyone have experience with this? Specifically, I would like to be able to sync my IPAQ contacts with my phone. Also, I want to be able to get on internet for directions, yellow pages etc. What are the requirements equipment wise, software, etc. needed to perform this. I cannot find a straight forward answer to this question and do not want to spend a lot of money experimenting. Any help appreciated.

The easiest way to keep your PocketPC and T68i in sync is to synchronise them both with Outlook on your desktop PC. I can't think of any software that directly syncs the two. Obviously use ActiveSync between your PPC and PC and the dreadful XTNDConnect to keep your T68 and desktop sync'd.
Hardware-wise you can use a cable, IR or Bluetooth to connect to your PC and T68i.

If I want to go with bluetooth, any recs to make PC bluetooth enabled? Is the best way to do this with a USB bluetooth connection? If so what brand and where can you purchase?

Hey I don't know if this helps, but I also have a t68i and my cell service is through ATT. Here is freeware available at this site:

Download and your ready to be a mobile warrior. So far I've had no problems. You can configure the download to work either through the t68i's IR or through BT. :D

I'm using a TDK Bluetooth PCMCIA (http://www.tdksystems.com/products/intro.asp?id=3) adaptor which works well with my T68 and also my Jornada 568/Socket BT combo. They also do a USB version (http://www.tdksystems.com/products/intro.asp?id=4).
There are plenty of other manufacturers do something similar. Just make sure that they include a Serial Port profile. (Most do.)

I would get a Bluetooth CF card from either Socket or Anycom.
For contact synchronization as well as SMS messaging and even ringtones and images for the T68i get mPhone.
For GPRS connections, the setup is (slightly) dependent on your mobile carrier.
In general, you need to set up a dial-up connection and specify a special “phone number” that sets up the GPRS connection. (Often *99# will work.)
In any case, there are people here that are willing to help. :D

So I don't even need a PocketPC bluetooth card? I can just use the phone (T68i) and Axim's (what I have) IR to get online?
