Is it possible to sync using the wireless network between a laptop w/ a wireless nic and the e740?

Is it possible to sync data/install apps/etc w/ the wireless network?

i have a lucent orinoco silver wireless nic installed on my laptop and a e740.

can anyone tell me if it's possible to do this or not?

there are two modes - the infrastructure and ad-hoc mode, if you've done the sync/etc in either, please let me know!

This should work OK. If you haven't got an access point then use ad-hoc mode to connect the two. If you have then infrastructure mode would probably be better. Both should work.

The biggest problem I had getting wireless ActiveSync to work was with Connection Manager preventing the two seeing each other.

the WINs setting was it. I put in the private ip address on my pda's wins ip slot and it is working beautifully. seems like it's faster too.. is this the case?
