I have had my AXIM for about two weeks and i have been happy with everything, exept for one thing. Today, I installed an NES emulator. I loaded Super Mario Bros and noticed that the game was unplayable becuase of Axims D-pad. Do all you AXIM users have this problem? What should I do? Help!!!!!!!!!! :x

There have been numerous thread regarding this problem. Just call Dell and take advantage of their next day exchange.
Is this the 400mhz or the 300mhz version? Has anyone had it on the 300? I believe in the last thread everyone had the 400 version. It would be intresting if it was only on one type.

Yup, I had the same problem with mine. And, in fact, found out about this problem when trying to play Super Mario Bros!
Definitely give tech support a call (I had to wait 60+ minute), and they will hook you up.

Wow! I've had it for 1 week, and loaded up PocketNES, and Super Mario Bros, and found out that the D-Pad is insanely bad! Im going to return it mid-January, so they can actually fix the rest of their inventory.
Kudos till then.

I know that as humans we tend not to comment until we have something to complain about. Anyone out there have a D-Pad that is functioning properly? I'm curious as to what the odds are of buying a Dell Axim and having to call customer support to get a replacement?

Had mine a week and pretty much works perfectly. Tried it in Pacman and in Matalion. In fact is much better than pad in my IPAQ 3835

Can someone provide a link for PocketNES?

Would you all please forget pokenes? Geesh... it's not a good emulator, plain and simple. Find yame, you'll be happier people. I feel like a broken record these days. And before ya all ask at once... just search. It's in the upper right corner of your screen. It's been linked before. Also search pocketgamer.org. 0.38g is the lastest, ARM version is what you need.
I am not sure where I saw this fix for the problem, but it worked for me. No more d-Pad problems. Here the fix:
Start -> Settings -> Tap "Buttons" Icon ->
Tap on "Up/Down Control" tab ->
Move the "Repeat Rate" slider all the way to the left.
Worked for me. Hope it works for you as well.
