I stumbled upon this while looking at my ipod. I noticed the case for the ipod seemed to be a good size for the phone, so I just tried it out, and decided I liked it because it didn't add the bulk the original factory case. Anyways, I took some pictures of it, and posted it here...

Let me know what you think

A.) It really doesn't cover the periphery of the device.
B.) If you bent over at the hips instead of bending at the knees it seems as if it would fall out.
C.) No SD holders.
D.) No slots for anything really.
E.) The case is too "slick" as well as is the T-Mobile device which makes for a bad combination for protection.

I would have to say that I would not trust this case/holder for everyday usage.

Take care,
Monty Gibson

I have to say I agree.

And we all know that the paint job on the XDA isn't exactly the most robust on the market!

I might have to resort to putting duck tape round mine!

Um, indeed. That's why I waited until my case arrived. I had a colleague who had one and he used the standard case; it was horrific what had happened to his PPCPE in only 1 week! He took his back to T-Mobile and they gave him a brand new one. He then took my recommendation and waited until a suitable case arrived for it and now it's as pristine as the day he received it.

I don't feel it's our issue as the consumer, but that of the manufacture and of the seller of the manufactures goods. I feel it's their responsibility to resolve any aesthetic issues such as paint, if they intend to couple this PPCPE with their standard carrying case knowing the impending risks to the paint. Either that or label a disclaimer stating as such.

check the holster case from toshiba eXXX series -- it works great for the t-mobile and only costs 20. the top is open with a strap that buttons down, which works well, leaving room for the antenna. also has 2 slots on the back for extra SD cards AND the plug opening on the bottom provides access for syncing or changing the SD card.

Frzamilan,

If a case is something you're looking for then don't settle for anything other than two companies that make specific PPCPE cases for the XDA/MDA:

www.vajacases.com
www.ebcases.com

These should suit anyone's budget. Vaja is the higher end, EB Cases are the lower end; IMHO. You do get what you pay for in the end and I assure you that the money you spend to protect your $600.00 investment will be well worth the money spent on a quality case.
