hey first time user here.. and was wondering does softwares that were made for PAlm handhelds work on our Pocket PC (Axim to be specific) ?

No. I think there are PalmOS emulators for PocketPCs that will let you run these, but it's not natively supported. Things like calendar & reminder functions you probably shouldn't do through the Palm emulator, as I don't know if it will notify you correctly when the alarm goes off...

FYI - if you have an Axim, you should look for Pocket PC software for either PocketPC 2002, or for ARM processors. That's what'll run on the Axim.

then again if we get a good emulator, you can run Palm aplications on the PPC throught the emulator

PocketPalm was one emulator under development, but with legal harrassment from obvious parties and lack of time, the project was dropped.

Looks like it's not happening any time soon.

Quite frankly, as Kati implied, there are good PPC replacements for most Palm organization apps. They're not going to be the exact same, but in general, that's a good thing: you want your applications to leverage the power of the operating system.
