Do I need a wireless router? I want to connect my pocket pc to my computer which has high speed internet. The internet comes into my computer through a 10/100 NIC. I want to put a 802.11b card in my computer and one in my PPC…but will this work?
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it should work; you can use Internet Connection Sharing in Windows, plus an Ad-Hoc 802.11b connection between the PPC and the computer.
However, a router is nice to have -- it'll give you a base station, firewall, switch, the whole kit and kaboodle. It's slightly easier to set up. Plus, you can surf on the iPaq while the PC is off. They're not that expensive anymore...
