Ok, here's the scenario:

I'm at lunch and decide to check my pop3 yahoo email via my bluetooth connection between my 3970 and T68i. No problem. I usually just load headers and about 5k of messages, but a friend had sent me some pics that I wanted to see, so I marked the message for retrieval. Anyway, after I did that, I went to PIE and my Ipaq worked for about 2 min., then the screen turned white. I figured it just locked up on me, so I did a soft reset. Then it happened. 8O :x

I lost the ability to even SEE my SD card in file explorer, all of my programs disappeared from my start menu, I lost the mapping of my mail and itask buttons, lost the icon for WMP in both start menu and program menu, all of the programs in my today launcher were now just randomly chosen, and finally all programs that were registered to "start" on start up, were now closed and unregistered for startup. Very bizarre!

I am on this site probably more than 10 times a day (everyday) but since nothing ever exciting happens to me, I usually don't post. What happened to me this time was even wierder to me than the Parrot of the old days of my 3650 back in Aug. of 2000.

So, I was just wondering, have any of you had this sort of thing happen to you? Even if not, do you know what happened to ME? I appreciate any and all feedback. Oh, and btw, the battery was 97% full.

As the Mountain Dew commercial says, "You got hosed, dude, you got hosed." :-)

Seriously, it sounds like your registry and/or file system got trashed. I assume this problem still happens after additional soft resets, right? What happens if you soft reset without your SD card in? Does File Explorer seem to show the correct file system? Have you looked at the registry?
