Dell's User Guide and the online help seem incomplete. Is there a better place to look?

can you provide a screen shot so we all know which icon you refer to?

If it's list any other PPC2k2 device, the first icon to the left of the keyboard icon (aka SIP) is the send/recv. icon. It looks like 2 envelopes. Then icon to the left of the send/recv is the connect to network button. that one will cause the device to connect to check email, but we keep the connection open. The send/recv button will not keep the connection open.

As was answered previously, it's the Send/Receive function. It connects (if necessary), sends and receives your E-mail, and disconnects if you weren't connected.

To find out what icons in the toolbar do, you can use tap-and-hold in most applications. You should see a tool tip with a brief description of the icon.

P.S. While putting the question in the subject is a good idea, it's a good idea to repeat it in the body of your post. If you don't, quoting the post won't display your question. (I had to copy it from the subject.) And, if the subject is truncated in the display in the forums, people might be confused about your question.

Thanks everyone. I didn't know about the tap-and-hold to get help.
