And after you've solved the problem with Genesis on the Axim, maybe you can help me get MAME running on the Axim. ;) I think I'm doing something wrong in a stupid way, but I can't seem to get MAME CE or iMAME to work. I can't even get a listing of my games. In iMAME I at least see an option to select the directory for my ROMs, but it still lists some other set of games, not the ones that are in my directory.

I have mameCE working. I installed to the default directory and also did install to CF, uninstalled CF because it was too slow. Do you get the mameCE window to come up after selecting the app?

Yes. but there's nothing listed in the box on the dialog. I can list all games (all possible games), but not the ones I actually have.

Did you place your ROM files in the ROM folder where mamece3 is installed to? It will/should search the files that are in this folder for valid roms, and list the ones available. Also make sure that the rom that you want to play is actually supported. If it is not listed in the all games view then it is not supported. If you have the "light" version it only supports about 100 games. The "heavy" version supports many more. Try that list to see if the game is in that list.

Does anyone know if MAME CE or iMAME are better than Yame?

Have you had any luck? I just received my Axim and want to play some MAME. But I want to know if it works before I go through the dance.
