How come that Dell USA offer tons of rebates for the AXIM (50$ + 10% + free shipping) but we only get the 80$CDN rebate and have to pay 25$CDN of shipping fees here in Canada? Is there a way to get extra rebates like these here in Canada?

Thanks!

Because companies hate Canada :)

I mean, I can't even get a decent 6-in-1 Flash reader here that I can fit in my pocket! ;) We can't even get all the models they have in the U.S.!

Even the Canadian government hates Canada! They want to increase the price of storage media

(That last one was serious.)

I phoned them on the 19th and placed my order and got free shipping. I had to ask them for it. I'm not sure if they'll still do this now, but they should, and it never hurts to ask. Just let them know that everyone you know who ordered over the phone got free shipping. As for 10% off, not very likely, not very likely at all. Let me know how it goes, as I'm thinking of getting another unit for someone...

Here are two coupons for $50 off:

300mhz version: 71146 CBFSAXM
400mhz version: 71146 CBFSAXA

So that brings the prices down to $219 / 419 respectively, after $80 MIR..

Thanks for the rebate codes!!! :P I've just ordered myself a 400MHz AXIM. The 300MHz was really tempting since it was 200$ less, but I figured out I might as well go with a 64MB one since I'm planning to use it as a GPS also...

Where did you get these codes??

Damn, that's dirt cheap...

almost make me wish I had waited :|

Oh well :P

I just phoned them and they said that it's only possible to use the E-Value rebate at point of sale :( Please keep us updated on how this works out for you. Will they also include free shipping with this? This deal sounds incredible. I could almost imagine people buying another one just as a backup unit :!:

I submitted my order for the 400mhz version on 12/12/02, used the above e-value code, and selected the $80 rebate on the configuration page. ETA from Dell is 01/03/2003. We'll see what happens. :)

I guess if they didn't want us to use the e-value coupon on-line, they shouln't have made it work online.. :)

Mine was ordered yesterday evening (dec 11th, and with the 80$ mail in + 50$ e-value code) and the ETA is dec. 26th.. woohoo!! :P

Just ordered mine on the website this morning, no problem with the extra discount so far. They do not accept e value coupons over the phone therefore no free shipping as it was only available on a phone order. But hey, an extra $80 is better than saving $25 on shipping :D

yeah, it would have been nice if that extra rebate would have been 80$ also for the 400MHz AXIM... instead of only 50$. but hey, an extra 50$ rebate is better than nothing!

Wow, you ordered on 12/11 and it was shipped on 12/13 ? Do you have a tracking number? Did you order any accessories? That is a really quick turnaround time, considering what others have been waiting..

Hopefully mine will ship early next week!! :D

Still don't have the shipping number. I guess it means the courrier still hasn't picked up the package but it will be picked up from Dell this afternoon and be on its way to my house during the week-end.

I ordered the 400MHz and a pack of screen protectors. That's it. Yeah, it's pretty fast, but all they have to do is pick-up the box from the shelf and put my shipping information on it...

I know this has been answered, but where do I enter the discount code on dell's site, can't seem to find it when filling info for my order.

Thanks

from the main page, click home & small business, then it's at the top left corner (e-value code)

Wow.. my Axim shipped on 12/14/02, two days after I ordered it ... turn-around times have definitely decreased.

ETA between 12/24 and 12/26 now..

This was too good a deal to pass up on. I ordered 300MHz one. I am currently using Clie, but always wanted to try out a Pocket PC.
Anyways, ordered 14/12/02. ETA 31/12/02. I guess these things are selling pretty well.

Just received my tracking # from Purolator today. So the chronology for my e-value code order is:

12/12/02 - Order placed at 2:00pm PST
12/14/02 - Order prepared for shipping
12/19/02 - Order has been shipped from Canadian hub (11:07 EST)

The e-value codes still appear to work too..

Hopefully Purolator won't loose your package like it happened to mine... For some reason, Dell put the wrong address & name on the box so it never showed up to my house, but Puro never knew where it was when I went to their depot the last two evenings... Anyways, after mucho hassle, it finally arrived at my house this morning... I can't wait to go home!
