Are the PI guys planning on distribution in Canada?

Just wondering.

Oh that's a riot. It shows an Ipaq but under "Platform" it says PALM!

Way to go Brad! What a way to make Alex feel guilty and give something back to PPCThoughts!

At first I couldn't believe you were giving away $7.95 to him, but your strategy makes sense now...

I brought this up in the Software forum. Just buy Pocket Informant at CompUSA (free after mail-in rebate) and you also receive a free $20 handango gift code. Then buy another copy of Pocket Informant for free! Or... after you take the 20% off the Two Peak apps, get those for free! hehe, better hurry.

Yep, CompUSA thinks its for the Palm...ugh. Our distributor has contacted CompUSA about the error, but the people at CompUSA don't know whom to contact to change the platform designation...

BTW, this promo page is permanent. We'll be announcing two cross-promotions within the next week or two.

I think I may have seen a retail box for Pocket Informant once at CompuSmart. They do not carry any PocketPC software now. From what I have seen around here, retailers are not interested in selling PocketPC software. It is best to order it online.

I got myself a second credit card with the smallest credit limit I could get (around $300 cdn). I actually had to spend about 10 minutes convincing the sales representitive that YES, I did not want the normal limit and YES I know that in the future I could not increase the credit limit back to what the originally offered me. I use this card for most of my online purchases. If anything goes wrong, I only have a $300 headache...

I just wanted to add that this promo works in reverse too...if you're a registered user of any Two Peaks product, you can get 20% off Pocket Informant (at Handango, not CompUSA).

Not only that, but the package I brought had an additional immeadiate $20 rebate, after registration, towards another program. Not a bad deal.

Are things that much different in Canada than the US? Down here the max charge you have to pay is $50 for fraudualant use of your Visa or MC by someone else.

I'm curious how all these cross-promotions work. Like one software company offering discounts on another company's software products...

Like Resco's email yesterday offering 40% off MobiMate's WorldMate. Woulda been nice, except I bought the latter full price not 2 weeks ago (which I haven't even installed yet) :(

A word of caution. I found out later (when I finally got to the fine print) that the $20 handango rebate only applies to apps on the following page:
http://www.handango.com/RebatePage_1b.jsp?siteId=664

This means you cannot turn around and use the handango $20 code for another version of Pocket Informant or Two Peaks software like I suggested earlier. You'll still get Pocket Informant free after mail-in rebate however.
