Only 18 days after ordering, my Axim is finally on its way to the carrier and is out of that stupid Dell plant. Now I must wonder, WHY THE HECK DIDN'T I GET OVERNIGHT SHIPPING??!?!?!?!?!?

Stupid tempting free shipping!

Ah, well. it probably wouldn't help my studying for finals if it did show up early this week :wink:

I had posted this in another topic and thought you might find it useful

1-800-WWW-DELL (1-800-999-3355)

Press 4 and enter Order Number when prompted,

Press 1, (the phone starts to ring and rann a long time for me)

Press 1 again

Enter Order Number again, (be sure it is the order # not customer #, not that I made the mistake or anything :oops: )

Verify Order Number

Then you will be told it was shipped, the date, by who and the tracking #.

I did that on Friday, but after putting my order in the first time, it took me to the dell "order a new computer" menu instead of the check status type menu it was giving on monday...

Did they develop a bug or something? Or did they decide to change to system.

:lol: What a wonderful day. Just on a whim I checked the order status page. And to my suprise my order has shipped. I couldn't believe it. I think I have checked that stupid site at least 10 times a day. Finally some light at the end of the tunnel.
Just for reference for anyone suffering like I have been. I ordered a 400mhz Axim with screen protectors and a leather case on November 21st. On November 23 my Axim listed as in production but none of the production items had been checked. I don't know why they put that on there because they never update it. Anyway that is where my Axim sat until now. All the sudden everything in production is complete and my ship date is listed as today, Dec 8th.

Man I am glad I didn't decide to be my cheap ol' self and splurged with next day shipping. Should be the proud new owner of my first Pocket PC in a couple days. Hope this isn't salt in anyones wound, and hope it helps everyone else out there crossing their fingers.
