I've read that they are slower than desirable for high-speed camera-type applications, but it should be fine for use in a PPC as far as I know.

I have a Simple Tech 128MB CF card. It works absolutely fine - pop it in and go. Speed seems fine, although I haven't used any other CF cards. I don't know what really to say other than I have absolutely no problems with the card (other than the fact that the price has gone down about $20 since I bought it).
