Just wondering if anyone can give me instructions on how to repair/recover my ipaq. The screen is all hazed when the power is turned on, nothing is displayed. When it's placed on the cradle, my computer no longer recognizes the device. It looks like the ROM is messed-up. The ROM upgrade got interrupted when the connection between the cradle and my computer ended unexpectedly. I know it can be repaired because there's a company out there that makes the repair for $25.00.

I'd pay the $25 if I were you...
That said, this might help (again, I wouldn't do this I'd pay the $25) (http://www.handhelds.org/z/wiki/Restoring%20Windows%20CE%20from%20the%20Compaq%20iPAQ%20Update)
I just want to say AGAIN, I would do this (http://www.pocketpctechs.com/detail.asp?Product_ID=IPAQROMREPRG)if I were you.
Good Luck!

Some more tips on what you can do:

I believe the previous link needs a working UNIX install; on the other hand, it doesn't need a second iPaq as this one does.

I believe Pocket PC Techs will upgrade your ROM for you as part of the process, so you don't need to do the update yourself.
