I know this is the lazy way to find out but does the game work okay with the older IPaqs that had the crippled 5way control pad?

The game is all screen and stylus controlled - it's very well designed from an interface level. I don't even know if the direction pad does anything - I've never tried to use it.

I have an iPAQ 3670, and Snails was the first game I actually purchased for my Pocket PC way back when it was released (and I don't regret it one bit :D). I end up using the stylus more than the pad while I'm playing it though.
Multiplayer over TCP/IP is almost done from what I understand, and with the 50% code, I managed to convince my brother to finally purchase it as well. There's a beta of version 1.8 up for download with a semi-working version of it if you've purchased the game, I believe.

i'm being absolutely lazy & haven't looked at the snails site to find this out yet. i downloaded the trial & couldn't get it to work completely (no sound) because i didn't have enough free memory, so i gave up on it.
at this great price though (& since everyone seems to be raving about this game) i'm willing to give it another go .. but! .. can it be installed & run from a cf card?

I've had Snails since it was first released, love it. Haven't played in quite awhile, but I'll probably pick it up again once the Axim gets here. At any rate, one of the best looking/playing games on the J525 save for maybe Diamond Mine.

Any idea how long teh "limited time only" lasts? My Dell isn't going to show up until mid-December, and I'd like to play with the trial version for a little bit before I decide to buy it. I know it's cheap, but there's other software I'll be doing trial versions of that are more critical, and I'm still on grad student salary. ;)

Is this game basically like "Worms", btw? The screen shots look it?

Speaking of that, does anyone know what you have to do make a clone of a game where everyone knows what game you ripped from? I mean, we all know that this is Worms for PPC, but do the makers of Worms have a right to sue them for this? Do you have to get permissions or anything like that?
Just wondering.
