http://www.scottevest.com/

Okay, I don't necessarily want to start another debate over whether wearing the SCOTTeVEST™ makes me a geek. However, Scott Jordan, creator of the SCOTTeVEST™, has announced two new versions of the vest and is offering some price discounts.

First, there's the Sport Lite. It's a lot like the standard version 2.5 vest, but it has additional features like a Coolmax® mesh interior to keep you dry, a reflective safety strip and a back pocket to allow for Camelbak® water hydration systems. The Sport Lite will be available in a gun metal gray for $99.99, but is currently being pre-sold for $89.99 until they arrive in early December.

Second, there's the Sport Special Edition. It has all the features of the earlier version 2.5 type, but also has limited edition features such as a mesh interior, rip-stop nylon material and hook and loop fastener cuffs. It is available in a charcoal gray rip-stop material. The Special Edition will cost $139.99, but is currently being pre-sold for $119.99 until they arrive in early December.

Now, the question becomes...Just how big a geek would I be if I actually owned TWO eVESTs?

For most of us, our geekdom was secured long ago.

I have be striving to shed the accessories and connections that would fill the pockets of an eVest in favor of a single converged tool. My PPC Phone has made that reality for me.
I have my PPC Phone, ear bud and, well, that's it. My case holds two SD cards and I don't need anything else to make myself productive and effective. Too bad no one has found room inside the PPC Phone case for a retractable ear bud cord -- that would really converge the tools to a single unit. Maybe I can duct tape a Jabra retractable to the my Vaja case?

I had a Scott eVest on my Christmas list and had to cross it off for lack of need. I'm sure however, my geekdom is still in tact and will continue to rear it's nerdy little head from time to time.

Thanks for the post. Please note that there was a typo in my release. The Special Edition is being pre-sold for $119.99, not $89.99. Also, Sport Lite is not like Version 2.5. There are many differences.

Thanks.

Scott
