Now, if only it had a score-keeping mode to use when playing a "live" game. That would be a keeper.

That's a great idea - the current game does not do this although I debated adding this functionality.

I have the code to accept clicks on the board and track score... it's just a matter of making a clean interface for scoring (and editing in case of a mistake)

Perhaps I'll create a sister app that keeps score and bundle it with the game.
