This Holiday Season Zayo Technology Brings the Fastest, Lightest and Smallest Pocket PC to Executives, Young Professionals & Gadget Lovers Alike
November 2002 (Newstream) -- This year, kids won't be the only ones with a new Razor waiting under the tree. The wizards of technological and design innovation have engineered the new Razor Zayo A600 Pocket PC just in time for the holiday season.

As the fastest, thinnest, lightest and best-looking Pocket PC on the market today, Razor Zayo is the must-have gadget for big kids this holiday season. In fact, BusinessWeek recently reviewed and described the new Razor Zayo as, "zippy, slim, lightweight, and fast."

The Zayo combines Razor's cool cachet with the muscle of Intel's most powerful processor. Zayo gives users DVD-like video quality and a bright LCD touch screen that provides clearer images, less eyestrain, and a smoother, longer-running handheld. Weighing in at less than five ounces and sized to go (4.9 x 2.9 x .5 inches), this lightweight champ is the smallest in the Pocket PC market - making pocket calculators seem bulky. Zayo's standard rechargeable, lithium polymer battery provides up to 12 hours of use (with the optional battery bank, battery life can be extended to over 20 hours of use).

"Whether it's a scooter or an Intel-powered PDA, it's not a Razor unless it sports the very best in cutting edge technology and design. Razor Zayo is guaranteed to turn heads this holiday season," says Razor USA president Carlton Calvin.

The Zayo is available at Office Depot, Staples, BestBuy.com and other quality retailers across the United States. The suggested retail price for the Zayo is $549.99 ($499.99 with $50 rebate).

Maybe it's just me, but I've never read so much and received so little. All the flowery adjectives aside, are there ANY specs at all mentioned in this release. The picture looks similar to the Viewsonic, then I saw the price and almost fell out of my chair. At that price, the spec's must be really impressive.

How in the world can these guys expect anyone to buy this product with what has been announced by Dell and Viewsonic, as well as the price reductions by Toshiba.

I'm not as think as you stoned I am.

$500? These guys are crazy...they are trying to cash in on the PPC gravy train Compaq has been enjoying...but that train has pulled out of the station...this next year will see PPC prices drop SIGNIFICANTLY. Thanks to companies like Dell, Viewsonic and Toshiba...the days of 40-50% margins are going to be a thing of the past. Hopefully people will wise up about the Compaq mythos and refuse to pay their premium prices. Competition is good.

BTW, this unit is already out in the US. www.the-gadgeteer.com has had a review of it for 2-3 weeks. Decent little unit, but yes, the price'll be slashed.
