View Full Version : Viewsonic v35 accessories
I found these in the Viewsonic online store. No actual v35 yet, but the accessories seem to be available. So far, there is a cradle, foldable keyboard, a variety of cables, screen protectors and stylii.

I start to think there is some manufacturing trouble with viewsonic PDA.

I start to think there is some manufacturing trouble with viewsonic PDA.
The foldable keyboard has become an indespensible accessory with my ipaq and I was quite concerned about whether it would be available with the viewsonic, so this is great news. :D
Mookie - why do you suspect manufacturing trouble with the V35? I can't get any answers from Amazon about my pre-order and am beginning to get concerned. If I don't hear anything soon, I may switch to the Dell.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, don't trust companies to release accessories until the device has been out for a few months. Plenty of companies have promised all these great accessories only to have the device bomb and the accessories cancelled before they were ever released (Casio E200 anyone?)

Anyone heard of a GPS that will work with the Viewsonic?

The Viewsonic V35 supports SDIO. I've ordered the V35 and a Bluetooth SDIO card to enable Bluetooth connection to my cell phone.
Socket has just announced a Bluetooth GPS receiver for $400. It's been seen retailing for $329. http://www.socketcom.com/product/GP0804-405.asp
This is a bit pricey for my budget and needs, but give it a year and it'll probably be $199 or less.

Here's a pretty thorough review of the Emtac Blurtooth GPS receiver. It received very good marks. http://www.gpspassion.com/Hardware/Reviews/BluetoothGPS.htm
It turns out this is the unit that Socket will be distributing. Here's a link to the announcement. http://www.socketcom.com/about/press/read.asp?ID=65
Here's the tech spec from EMTAC. http://www.emtac.com/products/bluetooth/datasheet_btgps.html

All of the solid information I've had about the V35 has told me that it would be last week of Nov./first week of Dec. before it was available.
