I recently received my e740 back from Toshiba Canada (two days turn-around time). Anyway, the ROM was upgraded and the fault with the power appears to have been fixed. Also, I plugged in my New Media Compactflash modem, and guess what? It worked without a hitch. I am well please with my new (repaired) toy.
