London finally has an intergrated public transport journey planning site.www.journeyplanner.org which it has needed for quite some time.

The bus routes in London can be tortuous and trying to get the best route can be a real pain even if you know the area.

The best piece of news is that they support a pda site http://pda.tfl.gov.uk/ giving the same functionality.

Cheers for the tip! Unfortunately the PDA journey planner isn't working at the moment - hope it's a temporary glitch as this could be very useful.

I'll admit that I only tried it on my desktop (but using the pda url) and it was fine.

I have just tried it on passthru and it worked like a charm. It even gives you the option of downloading a map of any change over on you journey or the destination. These are delivered in pdf format. Once downloaded Acrobat reader automatically fires up and you can then zoom in.

I hate this word but cooool. :D

Check out kizoom.co.uk as well. They have some of the train companies as well as the national rail journey planner. No maps but real-time travel info. as well as timetables.

Not on kizoom, but just about viewable on IE on the PPC is http://www.wagn.co.uk/wlive/wlive-dep-main.html which shows the real-time departure info. for WAGN's stations.

Now, I didn't know about the change maps, so I'll have to go and reinstall acrobat reader. Not that I'd risk flashing my iPaq around in some parts of London...[/url]

Excellent. Hadn't heard of the site.
