FWIW, it's the exact same software version. Nothing new has been added. Typical AOL...

Ha! That IS interesting. I've been using the old version without any problems and was wondering if the "new" one was any better. Guess not!

It's amazing that I can have enough AOL cd's in my house, just from a weeks mail, to ensure that none of my guests drinks hit tabletops, but I have to pay $20 to use it on a PPC.
You'd think they'd give it away just to keep the "global domination" thing going.
Maybe someone in AOL Marketing got a memo that said: "PPC Users have more money than they know what do with. Heck, they'll pay $30 to play Scrabble.. What's $20 to use our great [sic] service."

Well, I didn't pay for it, but noticed it's still v2.0. Quickly checked my months-old download, exact same version.

The link still works, but if you try and DL the exe you get a "page not found"

Try using this: http://ftp.newaol.com/aim-uk/wince/
The other link worked when I posted, so they must have killed the page within the past week...
The link above is for the AIM-UK client. I don't know how different it is from the US version...
Get it while you can...
