Route planning and GPS techie help wanted

Hi,

i use my ipaq with a gps and route planning software, it works great ! , i also use ipaq and gps with speed camera software so i dont get busted, it works great !

but i cannot use botha at the same time because each demands the comm port.

So 2 questions :-

1) is there any software that will let the 2 applications share the comm port and the gps signal at the same time ?

and

2) any software that lets both applications run at the same time and use the speaker/screen at same time so they both can send alerts ?

any help offered is appreciated and your all fab

My only input would be that Socket sells a CF serial port that I believe could be used in conjunction with the built in one. It is a different Comm port # at least. Don't know if you have any slots left, but that is about it for additional comm ports. (Socket also sells multiport things, but I'm not sure about CE drivers on those)
