Where could I find the cheapest pcmcia wifi (or maybe bluetooth) card? (if they even make such a thing) thanks! :)

Try our Pricegrabber search box on the front page - looks like you can get one for about $45. (http://pocketpcthoughts.pricegrabber.com/search_gen.php?form_keyword=PCMCIA%20802.11b&topcat_id=1&found=2&ut=4493b2c3626a81b0)

I haven't seen a Bluetooth PCMCIA card, but you can use a CF Bluetooth with a CF to PCMCIA adaptor.

is it true the cheap wifi cards like the $45 ones suck up major battery life? is there a site that has battery life comparisons with several different cards?

I don't know if the results will compare with the PPC, but there was a comparison chart on some of the cards running on the zaurus here:

Belkin has a cheap ~$79 (retail) BT card. The specs seem pretty good. It's a Compact Flash Type II (i.e., not good for HP Journada). It's about $67 at Buy.com.
