Imap4 in pocket pc

Hi,

I am just wondering if I can actually download calender items in the form of messages directly from the exchange server into the imap folders (like what happens in outlook express) using IMAP4.

Under INBOX->Managed Folders (select the folders to synchronise), I created the calender folder, how can I synchronise the folder with the calender folder on exchange.

No. You can see all folders, even those in Exchange public folders, but you can onlly sync mail items. That is the IMAP spec, not a deficiency in the Pocket PC Inbox client.
