So by now most of you should know that I didn't take over Brighthand. Brighthand has certainly kicked it up a notch, and the timing is pretty funny, because that's exactly what we're about to do (more on that later). To answer the question I've been seeing of "Where is Jason?", I can only answer with this link. Yes boys and girls, it's finally finished (and I'm the only author despite what Amazon's messed up system says) - I did the final author review on chapter ten yesterday. The final week was brutal - I had to do three chapters in 48 hours each, and you don't want to know what that does to the human brain. And in the middle of all that I had that gum surgery, which in turn had the nasty side effect of an abscess that had to be fixed with a root canal on Wednesday - and just before the root canal I dropped and broke my XDA. It hasn't been the best two weeks of my life but finishing the book was a major milestone for me.

I want to really thank the rest of my team (Ed, Brad, Andy, Marlof, Steven, and Ashley) for keeping the site running smoothly in my absence. And too all of you who have been submitting news and tips, thank you - you help make the site a great place.

There's also something else I've been working on whenever I took a break from the digital video book - Pocket PC Thoughts version 3.0. It's been a long time coming (far too long), but it's really here. More later today...

Awesome news about the book! So when will it actually be available and will there be any special pricing for Pocket PC Thoughts readers? ;)

Congratulations on the book!
I became a professional video producer and editor a couple of years ago when I was working for an incubator and we were launching a new company. I had to create the videos but I had never done so on a professional level, so I had to teach myself and then train a couple of staff members to assist me. It was a grueling few months, but it also was immensely fulfilling and, ultimately, fun technology to know.
Can't wait to read your book. I wonder what will happen if I click on Amazon's "Order this item used now" link for the book...
By the way, what was the origin of your title, Faster Smarter? I had to do a triple take to understand what the book was about. Once I zoomed in the cover photo I got it and it made me want the book, but it threw me for a second. The subtitle and tag line really pulled me in, and the snappy cover art is great -- it's reminescent of your avitar. Your name is way tiny, though.

Welcome back Jason! The rest of your team did a great job filling in the gap. In particular Ed stepped right up and did a super job keeping everyone informed as to what was going on in the PPC arena.
I guess if I can be critical, I should be just as quick to show praise. :-)

<sigh> and Ed descends back into the world of multiple personalities again...and he was making such progress :D

Jason, I sympathize with you on your XDA. I absolutely love mine. However, I accidently dropped it on a tile floor last week. Fortunately, it still works, but the nice shiny finish is now permanently marred by a dent and two hairline cracks. It's a testament to its workmanship though; it should have shattered based on the height of its fall.
