I just recently realized I can get my GPS unit to work with my Jornada and Pocket Streets. One thing I really like about Pocket Streets is the level of detail for Canadian cities. However, it does not allow for Directions. I have found two packages that appear to be what I'm looking for, but am unable to confirm the street level detail for Eastern Canada. Does anyone have a recommendation? One I'm looking at is from PHAROS the other is Tele Type.
Thanks all,
Walter Thompson :?:

Walter, Pocket Streets is good if you just want to know what street you are on, but not very good at routing. Don't rule out Destinator (http://www.destinator1.com) or the new Navman GPS 3400 (http://www.navman.com) as both these do have good maps and good routing and voice navigation.

For you Canadians out there...
After a close review of the software available I narrowed it down to two possible packages, Tele Type Navigator and Pharos Streetnav. I contacted both to confirm if they actually covered the areas I needed in Eastern Canada, and only Teletype responded. What they showed me looked promising and I have ordered their package. I'll post after I have received it and had a chance to try it out.

The software installed reasonably easily, once I figured out how to get the Canadian Places file loaded manually. The address lookup however appears to be formatted by postal code, rather than address thus a destination could end up a long ways from it's actual position. The navigation and rerouting works great however. Feel free to ask any questions.
