Hi all,
I try to setup my pocketpc 2002 to use a modem connection.
But after I specify my local ISP number and leave the country code blank, the PocketPC will automatically put a country code in front of my ISP number.
There is no option of "using country and area code" as usually exists in a PC dial-up setting.
So when I hit connect button, it will start dialing long distance call which will be rejected by the phone company since my ISP resides in the same city as me.
I check my regional setting and find the location is right--Canada.
Do you guys have any idea of how to get rid of this country code?
A million thanks.

Hi

I've had similar problems trying to connect my iPAQ 3850 to a mobile phone via Infrared - it would use country code and the thing wouldn't work.

Now assuming you are using PPC2002 under Connections click on the Dialing Locations tab then Dialing Patterns - now for every section use f,g. This was the problem I was having.
