Was browsing on the website today and noticed that Compaq Canada are running a promo. were they are giving 10% off by the end of September if you purchase and pay with a Mastercard + free shipping.

The cheapest product is the iPAQ 3850 which comes with a $150 discount already - final price: $629.10 excl. taxes. I think this is an excellent deal.

The new ipaqs must be coming soon as they appear to be cleaning house.

Hmmm, should I wait? I don't really need bluetooth now (and I could always add a BT card later on), so assuming BT is out of the question. $699 for the 3850 or is it worth it to spend an extra $150 to get the 3950. Is the screen and 39xx series worth $150?

The screen of the 3950 is definately much better than the 38xx series. You will get a better battery and SDIO support. You can also use the iPAQ as a remote control device.

So get a 3950 - I got my 3850 for $899 a few months ago..

How many taxes did you pay, I beleive that if you are out
of the province that they ship you only pay GST is this correct?

I think they will charge you taxes since Compaq Canada have offices in most Canadian Provinces. When I got my 3835 I was charged GST/PST.

I think bdeli is right on this. However if you buy from someplace like HandHeldCanada.com and live outside of BC, then you only pay the GST. Plus if the price is over $100, then there is no shipping charge! 8)
