Hi,

I've broken the screen on my iPAQ 3630, but it looks like it's not totaly destroyed, because the whole screen area is still visible and the iPAQ still detects stylus taps on all but one corner of the screen. I've attached the photo so you can see what it looks like.

Could you please advise what spare part I need to buy, how much it could cost and where I can buy it.

Thanks a lot!
srdjan

It looks like the LCD screen is ok, it's just the touchscreen on top that's busted. I suggest you contact the Pocket PC Techs at www.ppctechs.com and ask for their help - they'll either sell you the part or you can send it in for repair (I'd suggest the latter).

So, basically I can buy just the touch screen?

I found one at foxconn (www.services.foxconn.com) and it costs approx. $28... That sounds OK?

The product is marked with Foxconn P/N :3S599-001.

I think so, but I'm definitely not an expert on hardware matters - I've never opened up my iPAQ, so I can't be 100% sure that's what you need. Seems reasonable though...

Sorry, Dude, but I had to chuckle when I saw the photo. Is that the chair the iPAQ was on when you sat on it?

Nope :)

Actually my mate took a photo of it for me, it's his chair :)

And, frankly, I don't have a clue how it got mashed, cause a friend gave it to me and I don't know how he did it...
