Hi,

I don't have broadband access at home but would like to have a
wireless setup so that I can use my PocketPC (J548 w/ Socket
WLAN CF) to surf the web using the 56K modem that is connected
to my notebook.

Can this be done ? Could someone please point out where I can
find more information about this ?

Thank you much!

You would need to get a Wifi/Gateway combo that was able to dial a modem.

If you have Win98SE/ME/XP, add a WiFi card and create a bridge (ICS) between your modem and NIC. Your PC will act as a NAT and router. You should be able to surf from the PC and PPC through your dial up.

I am not familiar with ICS but would something like AnalogX Proxy Server
http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/proxy.htm
accomplishes what I would need ?

Thanks!
