3com 3c589c and Ipaq

I've got the PC-Card sleeve and a 3com 3c589c network card. After going through a pile of threads and downloading drivers, I've got the card working with my ipaq.

The only problem I have is that the card will fail if the ipaq is turned off and back on (need to reboot to remedy). Also, once the card is inserted and removed, it requires a reboot to get the sleeve to work again. I would just buy another card, since this one isn't officially supported, but after looking on ce.windows.net it seems like this card is great on battery life -- drawing only like 50ma.

Any thoughts?

I'm not sure there's any way around that. Some hardware simply doesn't communicate except during a "power-up." The way your card is behaving doesn't damage anything, but I know it can be a pain.
