Handspring updates treo 90 sd to sdio with a patch?

Evidently as software update can do it in some cases. The question is would they do it. I would say no simply because the next generation T-Mobile phone will probably be SDIO complient...and they would want you to upgrade. Similar goes for the 3800->3900 iPAQ's. Probably won't have a 3800 SDIO update offered as they want you to buy a 3900 to get it.

Wonder if it could be cracked, although illegal. I have seen cracks such as button mapping and other things that have changed the way a peice of hardware works.

Any crackers want to give it a shot?
