Hi there,

today as I was browsing (out of boredom I confess) the German mobile news site Xonio.com, I stumbled across the headline that FIC is allegedly planning to release two new PDAs in ther "1st PDA"-line. (stupid name, if you ask me )

Well, since I recently abandoned the thought of purchasing a PocketLoox, I immediately went to investigate (read: began searching with Google) and came across the following information (found on FIC's own site at http://www.fic.com.tw/pda/)

- 1st PDA w. model nr. KJ001:
StrongARM @206 MHz

- 1st PDA w. model nr. KJ003:
PXA240A (XScale) @400 MHz

- both "1st PDA"s:
Memory: 64 MB SDRAM / 32 MB ROM
Screen: 3,5" (3,8" ?) 240x320 reflective, 64k
Ports: Serial, USB (client), IR, Bluetooth, Compact Flash II, SD (IO ?)

Does anyone know more about these?

We posted on this a while back - check out the HARDWARE category, about two weeks ago.

hi

This FIC 1st pda was featured in a very sexy metallic blue color!!!

Any release of review models? or are all of these 'experimental'??

Looking at the FIC site - they seems to know a thing or 2 about mother boards - this is good, like Asus, for hardware companies to get into the PDA market.
