http://www.mikeslist.com/44.htm

Remember Windows Magazine? It died about 2 years ago but was one of the best magazines on Windows. I liked the columns and editorials the most and one of my favorites was Mike Elgan's. He has since started a list that comes out every week or so and it has some of the dumbest stuff on the internet.

One of his features is the Mystery Pic of the Week. This week's is cool - no clue what it is.

Join the list - your email is safe. No spam from him at all and he keeps your addy private. If you know what the image is, let him know. The address is in his newsletter. Now, if only John Ruley would get back on the Windows CE bandwagon. I know, he does some, but it isn't the same as some of his in depth stuff from the Windows magazine days.

It looks like a screen shot from the PC game 'Mafia' with a hand @ PPC on top.

Looks like the Avatar Compaq Ipaq used for Navigation in Virtual Harlem. I've seen the pic before on a promotional web site. Isn't there a PDA more appropriate with the 30's time period?

Mafia for PocketPC? :)
Mafia for PocketPC? :)
Maybe they should have used a 3870 then, at least the PPC would have been fitting. What with it's poor screen, and joke of an SD slot.

From a guy named DigitalMDX:
"Well... I downloaded the photo, enhanced it, etc. That did no good. When photo enhancement doesn't work it's time to call in the big guns!!! Google! So, I spent some time on the internet and finally found it... It's not a stumbling program, it is a wireless link to the CAVE, the picture is showing a shot of virtual harlem. I sent the information off to Mike's Mystery Pic of the Week, we'll see what happens from there. You can read all about it and see a similar picture in this PDF document Page 4 has a very similar picture to the one posted on Mike's site.
