Anyone heard of mouse driver software for Pocket PC 2002? Beta even?
I checked Chris De Herrera's http://www.cewindows.net/ website and didn't see anything.
Perhaps in the next Pocket PC OS?

I believe that it is natively supported, but almost completely useless since you don't have a visual screen mouse pointer.

Right. This is what I am inquiring about, a visible pointer on the PDA screen. I'm not a programmer, but it appears that the core pointer functionality already exists.

I really want to be able to use an external mouse with the USB capabilities of the Toshiba e550G cradle. I know the Casio E-200 cradle has USB capability and the e740 can with the additional $99 VGA attachment. So while external keyboards shine, I'm trying to stretch the boundaries.

Found this in the Toshiba forum:

Thanks Dave!

I saw this posted by "DaveAgain" in the Casio E-200 Corner (http://www.pocketpcminds.com/showthread.php?postid=2614#post2614) thread over at Pocket PC Minds... a German developer has written a little app that gives you a real mouse pointer on your USB host-enabled Pocket PC! The thread is linked above and a download link can be found on this page (http://www.dce200.com/). (Note that at the moment the download link has a space at the end which will result in a 404 error. Remove the space and try again or just download here (http://www.nrdp.net/e200/updates/Trayapp.zip).)

As far as I know, it's only been tested on a Casio E-200; anyone with the expansion pack want to try it on their e740?

Thanks for posting about this, DaveAgain!
