I have the iPAQ 3975. If it weren't for a few issues (below) it would be the ultimate PDA. I've gone from original Psion organizers to Psion 3a's to 3c to Sharp HC-4500 to Compaq Color Aero to Compaq iPAQ 3630 to 3765 and now to 3975. I mention all these just to let you know that the word "ultimate" is based on a comparison of every PDA I've ever owned.
Here are the issues:
- Whenever you close (Close, not minimize) and re-start Windows Media Player the audio is distorted. You then have to click on "Compaq Audio" in the settings/system area then click on "RESTORE DEFAULT". It's incredibly annoying. Anyway to fix this for good (Registry hack?)
- Sometimes after using then subsequently turning off Bluetooth the PDA will automatically do a soft reset. It doesn't happen right away - it's usually while you're listening to music or in another application (not neccessarily music). Something seems to conflict with something else in memory that causes it to happen (I assume).
- When docked in cradle and listening to music - music will skip anytime email is touched in outlook. When email arrives or is deleted - WMPlayer skips. Not major, just annoying.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.
Ron
