Transcriber Problem

Hi all,

I've just installed Transcriber 1.5 on my HP Jornada 548
and I'm getting a weird problem. When I highlight a word
and do the quick correct gesture (down/up), the alternates
menu pops up, but when I pick a word the highlighted word
gets replaced by this word followed by a 'Carriage Return'
so the next word goes onto the next line.

I can't see any option to turn this off and it does seem
to be wrong to me. I'm sure it didn't do this last time I
tried it.

I'm having quite a lot of success with Transcriber this
time, apart from this issue.

Any help appreciated.

I haven't heard of that issue before - perhaps try re-loading Transcriber?

Yes, I think I'll give that a try. I've just uninstalled FItaly, so perhaps uninstalling and reinstalling Transcriber will help.

Something must have gotten buggered up in the software - that can sometimes happen when you install multiple 3rd party input methods. A hard reset is your last choice. :cry:

Yes, I was afraid of that too. Oh well, a hard reset seem to be a fairly regular occurrence (3-4 times a year) for me anyway, so probably not long to wait :-(
