Does anyone miss PDABuzz?

Just got to thinking how I used to several times a day check PDABuzz, as my first place to look for interesting news. At first, with the departure of Wes, I felt a void, and did check in once every day or two (not finding much). But now, I check here throughout the day, and check a few other tech news sites, but a week or two goes by without even thinking of the old days of PDABuzz (all due respect to Wes notwithstanding).

For some reason, I thought of the 'buzz today and checked. No real news I hadn't known about. No captivating discussions topics. And only 7 members signed on. What a shell of what it once was. Too bad about the people that used to go there for advice and help with problems, though.

I don't want to start a rehash of the events there, but I was just wondering: Does anyone ever have a compelling reason to visit there anymore? Additionally, maybe, where else but here is on people's must-check lists?

Buzz moved out of my favourites. Since wess is gone i went there twice, finding old news and lame discussions. I hope this will grow to become it's successor (the news-section is a lot better, the forums could become a bit more active).

When I get bored enough at work to have gone through all my other links, I sometimes go to PDABuzz.

Since I used to go there every day to check the news, I figured I'd miss it, but it's just something I don't do anymore and I can get the news from other sites.

I checked there just out of curiosity. Dull.

This site and PDALive.com are my top two. PDALive, by the way, is where most of the Buzz mods went. It's becoming quite the thriving cross-platform site. (They even hired me as a writer!)

But I don't think there is any site that has new stuff added as fast as here at Thoughts. Plus, I have gotten SO MUCH MILEAGE from all the dead-people-in-a-diamond jokes!

I check over there periodically, but there never is the discussion strings there used to be. Often just the discussion was more important then the news story and it was nice to see a community of both Palm and PPC users talking.

PDABuzz used to be my home page. Now my home page is this one :-) I also visit Brighthand and DavesIpaq. Maybe its me but this site seems more mature. Haven't tried PDALive though. I am going to be loyal here as long as Jason Dunn is around. Jason - you are a star.

Nope - don't miss it at all. "The website formely run by Wes Salmon" is not worth bothering with these days. It's gone. It was good while it laster. Home for me ... is here now. :D Heck even Wes posts here a fair bit!
