Hardware Buttons

Is there any way to stop hardware buttons such as the calender button from turning on the device when it is powered off :?: I am lost and want to any help and I would be very greatful :!:

Map all of them to <None>? That might do it. Of course, then the buttons are useless.

I'd suggest putting the thing in a reasonably firm cover so none of the buttons get pressed.

if your using a jornada you can set it in the hp settings app under power preferences
