http://knowbetter.com/ebook/surveys/2002spring_results.asp

Jay Hartman, from KnowBetter.com, has let us know that the results from their latest survey about eBooks have been published. The data, collected in March, April and May of 2002, was collected in order to provide a good overview of how eBooks are being used and to capture opinions about the eBook marketplace. About 31% of the respondents read eBooks using a special eBook device like the RCA REB1100, about 23% use a PC and about 42% use some form of PDA, so there's something for everyone here.

Of course, one of the topics that sparked the most interest and comments from participants was digital rights management (DRM). Suffice it to say, the overwhelming concensus is that something better than the current DRM schemes has to be developed if eBooks are to ever enjoy greater adoption. But, read the report to get the rest of the details.

By the way, KnowBetter.com is also launching another eBook survey that you can participate in.
