There might be a reason why the rebates have been offered by various stores. If you check circuitcity's web site, they list them as "closeout". Perhaps as someone else mentioned earlier, toshiba is going to soon be discontinuing the e310?

ieeee.... I hope not- that is unless it's gonna be replaced with something even smaller and better! It's a wonderful device and one of the most low priced. Oh well!

Not that it really matters. :D As long as Toshiba is willing to do the support and updates with it, it doesn't really matter. Some models of iPAQs have been discontinued, but people love them anyway. :)
